Our Last Show … of the Summer

A REMINDER

Just a quick reminder, later tonight you can see us perform live at Petit Campus located at 57 Prince-Arthur East. This will be the last time we play for a while as we will be on hiatus for the rest of this month and all of next month, taking some time off to rest, travel, and work on some new songs. So if you haven’t seen us in a while, now’s your chance. The doors open at 8:30 pm and the show starts at 9:00 pm sharp, so don’t be late!

A GOOD CAUSE

Admission is $10. If you don’t have a ticket you can purchase one at the door. We are donating $2 of every ticket sale to Head & Hands, a wonderful non-profit organization that promotes physical and mental health of Montreal’s youth through a variety of programs and services.

A GREAT OPENING ACT

Opening the night is Toronto-based alt-country ensemble The Key Frames. Tonight’s show is the first of many on a tour of the Maritimes that will take them to some great venues that we had a chance to play at over the past couple of years. They will also be debuting songs from their latest record “High Light Low Light“, produced by Josh Finlayson of the Skydiggers. I look forward to picking up my copy and we hope you will all do the same. (By the way, if you don’t know who the Skydiggers are you should fix that!)

AN APPEARANCE ON RADIO AND TV

At 4:20 pm this afternoon tune your radios to 990 AM (quickly before the CRTC ruins it for everyone and lets RDS take over!) to hear us live in studio with Melnick in the Afternoon on TSN 990. We’ll sing some songs, talk about recent tours, and convince Mitch’s listeners to attend tonight’s big show.

And finally during supper time, at 6:30 pm to be exact, be sure to watch CTV News as we’ll be making an encore appearance on What’s On, the entertainment segment of the news with Christine Long.

See you tonight!

The 3 C’s: CJLO, CTV, Contest

If you missed us in the Montreal Gazette last week, we posted a link to the article on our Press page, as well as the video of us rehearsing a new song, “Those Who Can’t Be Saved” on our Video page. Now on to business …

It’s time for a final push ahead of our show this Saturday night at O Patro Vys with Sarah Jane Scouten. Did we mention that we’ll be recoding it for a live album? I think we just did.

CJLO – 1690 AM

At noon on Monday February 13th (today!) tune your radios to CJLO at 1690 AM to hear us live in studio on Edge of the City with Paul Aflalo. We’ll play some songs, with full electric set up and drums, and talk shop. On top of the music, great conversation with plenty of laughter is guaranteed.

If you don’t have a radio nearby, you can listen on-line here: CJLO On-line.

CTV Montreal – What’s On with Christine Long

If you missed us on CJLO, you can see us on CTV News at 6:00pm on Thursday February 16th. We will be featured during the What’s On segment with Christine Long. We were interviewed this past Saturday and had a great chat with Christine. Spliced in with the interview will be clips of us rehearsing “Dead Man’s Pedal“.

If you don’t plan on being around a TV during Thursday’s newscast, the interview will be posted on CTV Montreal’s website here: CTV Montreal – What’s On.
