Alright, we got a lot to talk about this week, so let’s hit the pile!
Music video
We’re going to make a music video, and we want your ideas on where we should shoot it. One idea that’s been tossed around is outdoors, down near the Lachine Canal in St-Henri.
Think we can do better than that? Share your ideas with us with a comment on this post, on our Facebook page (click here) or email us at jimmyriggers@gmail.com.
Need incentive? A cameo appearance in the video to the person who comes up with the best idea!
Concerts new and old
You can now RSVP for our upcoming concerts by clicking on the images of the posters on the right hand side of this page. Don’t forget to tell your friends and family in Ottawa and Toronto that we’ll be there soon.
If you missed our concert last month at O Patro Vys you can watch the whole thing on YouTube (click here). Our thanks to Roy Keys for filming and editing the videos.
Cold North Killers
We’ll close this post by telling you about an event we’ll all be attending this weekend, though it isn’t musical in nature …
Our good friend Lee Mellor has written a book called “Cold North Killers” (Dundurn Publishing). If you’ve listened to any of Lee’s songs you know that he has a knack for storytelling. So the idea of Lee Mellor the novelist is anything but farfetched. In “Cold North Killers” Lee analyses 60 cases of serial murder in Canada, a country not considered to be particularly violent.
In Lee’s own words: The reason for Canada’s serial killer blackout is clear: until now such information has never been compiled and presented in a single concise work. “Cold North Killers” is a wake-up call. This detailed and haunting account of Canada’s worst monsters analyzes their crimes, childhoods, and inevitable downfalls. It is an indispensable compendium for any true crime lover, criminologist, or law-enforcement officer.
Lee will be launching his book in Montreal this Saturday March 10th at Chapters, 1171 Sainte-Catherine West at 2 pm. For more information, click here.
Have a great weekend everybody!
Voici mon idée pour le shooting :
